A good combination of CRP, native pasture, and mature cottonwood trees provide ample opportunity to hunt for whitetail deer and run a few heads of cattle at the same time. The CRP contract was just renewed this year and can be abolished at a minimal cost if the new owner chooses to farm or run cattle on the CRP acres. There is a little shed to provide animals cover during the hot summer or cold winter. There is highway frontage on two different sides with the east side bordering KS Hwy 1 and the north bordering US Hwy 160. This would make for a great addition to an existing farm, or it would be an inexpensive way to get Kansas deer tags in prime Comanche County. For a hunter, the tall CRP grass holds tons of deer throughout the year. Coldwater is the nearest town for gas, food, etc. The current CRP contract pays $6,699 a year.
